May 3rd Special Election
EISD trustees are elected at-large, meaning all registered voters living within EISD boundaries can vote for each place on the ballot, as trustees represent the entire district instead of a portion of the district.
Candidates Heather Sheffield and Catherine Walker filed for Place 6. The seat is currently held by Sheffield, who was first elected to the board in 2019 and has also served as secretary.
Candidates John Troy and Robert Morrow filed for Place 7. The seat is currently held by trustee Ellen Balthazar, who did not refile. Balthazar was first elected to the board in 2001 and has also served as secretary and vice president.
